President Trump is once again facing false accusations from the media. This time, Reuters is the source of the misinformation, claiming that the president referred to illegal aliens as animals who are not human.

“Donald Trump called immigrants illegally in the United States ‘animals’ and ‘not human’ in a speech in Michigan on Tuesday, resorting to the degrading rhetoric he has employed time and again on the campaign trail,” Reuters reported.

The comment was completely taken out of context:

Nathan Layne, Gram Slattery, and Tim Reid were the authors of the reprehensible article. They were all involved in tarnishing the character of others. The Reuters article was disseminated through various newspapers and digital platforms nationwide. Surprisingly, it remains uncorrected or retracted at the time of this commentary.

According to a Gallup survey conducted last year, trust in the media has reached an unprecedented low. Merely 32 percent of Americans expressed a significant level of trust in journalists, with only 11 percent of Republicans doing so. Newspapers could begin to regain some of that trust by promptly terminating their contracts with Reuters.
