Donald Trump Jr. is targeting House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-La.) for organizing a vote to offer assistance to Ukraine, Israel, and Taiwan.

Trump Jr. wrote, “Enough already! If you ever even begin to start believing anything anyone in Republican leadership tells you just watch this.”

“Pay close attention to those that don’t seem bothered by this. They’re not our friends,” he added.

Johnson’s announcement of a $95 billion aid package for Ukraine, Israel, and Taiwan has garnered attention. According to ABC News, the package includes $26.4 billion for Israel, with $4 billion allocated for replenishing Israel’s Iron Dome defense system. Additionally, $60.8 billion is designated for Ukraine, including $23 billion for replenishing weapons, and $8.1 billion for Indo-Pacific aid. The passage of this aid package is expected to rely on Democratic votes, with a vote scheduled for Saturday. However, conservative lawmakers have expressed their dissatisfaction with the lack of a robust border security bill and have threatened to remove Johnson as speaker. Despite this, Johnson remains unfazed by the push to oust him. During a press conference on Wednesday, he emphasized the seriousness of the situation, stating, “This is not a game. It’s not a joke.”

“We have to do the right thing and I’m going to allow an opportunity for every single member of House to vote their conscience and their will on this. And I think that’s the way this institution is supposed to work. And I’m willing to take personal risk for that because we have to do the right thing and history will judge us,” he added.
