(The Post Millennial) – CNN’s Don Lemon was on the air Monday discussing Oprah’s interview with Prince Harry and Megan Markle on Sunday, and mentioned that it wasn’t necessary to hear the other side of the argument.

“Journalist @donlemon says we don’t need to hear from the other side on Harry/Meghan’s claims: ‘What’s the other side going to say? They’re going to say, “Of course we’re not racist,” or whatever … We have only heard from one side, but that one side at this point rings very true.'”

Lemon commented in the course of the interview:

“Now listen, we shouldn’t be surprised that, you know, you have a black woman from America, who is, in their eyes a commoner, and then you have this white red-head British royal. People wanted to know what the baby was gonna look like; that was out of curiosity.”

“But what mattered was your reaction. If you said ‘oh, this baby is going to be a beautiful brown baby with red hair; I can’t wait to see it,’ that’s a different reaction than ‘oh my dear, what color is his skin, is he going to be too dark?'”

Lemon then moved on to whether Megan and Harry reacted properly to the circumstances:

“Once you got a sense and you heard what they said to Oprah about why they did it, then you realize that maybe it wasn’t gonna work out for them [to stay in Buckingham Palace]. And the best thing to do was come to America, do what they did, and speak out …. and speak out with someone like Oprah. I thought it was perfect, I think they handled that perfectly.”

“Also, when people say ‘well, we haven’t heard from the other side’, what’s the other side gonna say? They’re gonna say, ‘Of course we’re not racist,’ or whatever … but what did they do? Think about their actions.”

“They did not stand up for their own, because their own was married to a black woman, had a black child.”

“So, listen, we have only heard from one side, but that one side at this point rings very true.”

One savvy person on Twitter had something very interesting to say on the issue on the issue:

“Only need to hear from one side because the other will just deny it?”‘
