On Monday morning, CNN abruptly pulled Trump campaign spokesperson Karoline Leavitt off the broadcast, days before her boss, Donald Trump, and President Joe Biden, were scheduled to square off in the first presidential debate.

Shortly after the interview began, CNN “This Morning” anchor Kasie Hunt asked Leavitt about Trump’s schedule for Thursday, June 27, when he takes the stage in Atlanta, Georgia. Leavitt predicted that the debate platform would probably be a “hostile environment” for Trump and charged that co-hosts Jake Tapper and Dana Bash of CNN have previously covered him unfairly.

Hunt immediately shot back, calling her colleagues “professionals,” and she proceeded to play a number of pre-recorded snippets in which the former president discussed what he thinks will end up happening.
