An uncomfortable situation arose when a reporter inquired of White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre regarding Vice President Kamala Harris’s most significant achievement. During the press briefing, Jean-Pierre was prompted to discuss a “specific policy” that Harris had successfully implemented.
President Joe Biden directed the newly nominated Democratic presidential candidate to tackle the “root cause” of illegal immigration; however, she has not conducted a press conference since her nomination. Furthermore, Harris’s approach to the border situation has faced scrutiny.
A reporter questioned the top White House spokeswoman: “What does Biden see as Harris’ biggest achievement during their time in office together?”
Jean-Pierre stated: “So look because they’ve been partners … certainly those historic, unprecedented achievements have been done together.”
It just got worse after that for KJP.
“And he has said this himself, one of the proudest decisions he made in 2020 was selecting her as vice president because he believed she could go on day one. I’m not going to parse out anything from here,” Jean-Pierre remarked.
The reporter, who seemed unsatisfied with her answers, further questioned, “Is there is no specific policy or is it a comprehensive whole?”
She replied, “I would say it’s a comprehensive whole.”
NEW: Karine Jean Pierre can't give an answer after a reporter asked her to name Kamala Harris' biggest achievement as vice president.
No achievements, no policy and she won't even sit down for an interview.
