Former President Donald Trump secured more than $160 million in fundraising last month, primarily through contributions of smaller amounts, as announced by his campaign on Wednesday. The fundraising figures for September have increased Trump’s total cash reserves to $283 million, with just over a month remaining until Election Day, according to a report by the New York Post.

“President Trump continues to inspire millions of everyday Americans to join his America First movement and help fuel the campaign with their hard-earned money,” Trump campaign Senior Advisor Brian Hughes said.

In September, the Trump campaign reported that approximately 2.5 million donations of less than $200 were received by the former president, representing 96% of the overall contributions. The average donation was recorded at $60. The campaign indicated that the totals for September surpassed their internal expectations.

“These supporters have allowed us to bank the funds we need as we move into the campaign’s final weeks,” Hughes added. “Our momentum continues to grow from supporters and donors across the country as we enter the homestretch toward victory.”

Trump’s total fundraising for September surpasses the $130 million collected by his campaign and its authorized committees in August. The Republican nominee’s financial resources now amount to just under the $295 million reported at the end of August, as campaign activities have escalated in the closing weeks of the 2024 election.

According to ad-tracking firm Ad Impact, Vice President Kamala Harris and her affiliated organizations have outspent Trump in seven critical swing states since President Biden announced the suspension of his re-election campaign. Ad Impact further indicated that Harris and her supporting groups have secured more future advertising time in these states—Pennsylvania, Michigan, Georgia, Wisconsin, Arizona, North Carolina, and Nevada—compared to Trump and his allies, as reported by The Post.

“In total, Harris has $301 million worth of future campaign ads reserved in those states, whereas Trump has secured $194 million in air time,” the report said.

Harris, despite possessing a greater financial advantage, is not distancing herself from Trump in the polls. It seems she is losing support.
