In a recent appearance on Fox News’s Jesse Watters Primetime, Allison Huynh, a former fundraiser who played a significant role in raising millions of dollars for former President Barack Obama, discussed her decision to distance herself from the Democrat Party and lend her support to former President Donald Trump.

During the interview, Huynh shed light on the various factors that led to her departure from the party. Notably, she co-founded Willow Garage, a robotics company, in 2006 alongside her ex-husband, Scott Hassan, who served as a programmer at Google. The couple organized exclusive dinners, with each plate costing between $50,000 and $100,000 per person, as reported by the New York Post.

“Like any divorce, there’s not just one thing, there’s a series of things that led up to it,” Huynh explained.

Hunyh, a resident of California, further emphasized that the Democratic Party’s attention is misdirected towards “policing the wrong things” rather than prioritizing the apprehension of criminals and ensuring the safety of our streets.

“The Democrats were policing the wrong things,” Huynh added. “The things that we need to police are violent criminals that are scattered throughout the streets of San Francisco, people defecating, shooting up heroin in front of me and my kids, and allowing criminals to go in and steal from our grocery stores, shutting down grocery stores.”

The ex-Democrat donor, who now identifies as an independent, informed the New York Post that she recently participated in a fundraising event for Donald Trump at Mar-a-Lago. She expressed her astonishment at her interaction with the former president, describing him as “lively, humorous, and astute.”

“I was happy with how knowledgeable Trump is about what is going on with the country and the economy,” Huynh told the outlet. “He had the information. He is all there with the things that matter: education – his kids are well-educated – fighting crime, immigration and business.”

Several Democratic contributors and leaders have opted against endorsing President Joe Biden. Macomb County Executive Mark Hackel of Michigan disclosed in May that he will abstain from voting in the upcoming election due to his disapproval of both Biden and Trump, noting that “all they do is speak negatively about each other.”

Former Democratic donor Jacob Helberg shared in an interview on Fox Business that he is now backing Trump. Helberg mentioned that he believes “the Democratic Party has been taken over by the Squad and woke ideology.”
