A tumultuous sight unfolded outside the White House on Saturday as demonstrators advocating for Palestine gathered in the nation’s capital. According to Fox News, one of the protesters was observed wearing a Hamas headband, openly expressing solidarity with the extremist group, while also clutching a bloodied face mask depicting President Joe Biden. The news report further highlighted that several others donned similar headbands, brandished Palestinian flags, vocalized the chant “Down, down occupation,” and witnessed one individual burning an American flag.

Protesters gathered at the White House on Saturday morning, holding signs that criticized Biden for being on “the wrong side of history.” The demonstration took place after security measures were increased at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue in preparation for the event, according to the report.

During the demonstration, a group of demonstrators formed a human chain encircling the White House, dubbing it “the people’s red line” in reference to President Biden’s statement about Israel’s potential invasion of Rafah. It is worth noting that President Biden was absent from the White House during the protest, as he was in France participating in the 80th anniversary commemoration of D-Day.

“There is no world in which I can confidently vote for” President Biden, Nas Issa, a spokeswoman for the Palestinian Youth Movement, said. If the president “doesn’t change course and hold Netanyahu and the Israeli government at large to account, under what circumstances would it be acceptable to any person of conscience to vote for him?” she said.
