(SNews) – Tucker Carlson has told Fox News to pound sand by ignoring the network’s cease-and-desist letter.

Instead, he released the episode of his new Twitter show and shunned the legal threat from his old bosses.

In the third installment of his relaunched show, Carlson spoke about the indictment of President Donald Trump.

Tucker said: “Trump is the one guy with a shot of being president who dissents from Washington’s longstanding pointless war agenda.

“And for that, they trying to take Trump out before you can vote for him.

“That should upset you more than anything that’s happened in American politics in your lifetime.”

Republican presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy also weighed in on Trump’s indictment by making a campaign pledge.

“This is my commitment,” Ramaswamy said.

“On January 20th, 2025, if I’m elected the next U.S. President, to pardon Donald J. Trump for these offenses in this federal case.

“And I have challenged — I have demanded — that every other candidate in this race either sign this commitment to pardon on January 20, 2025, or else explain why they are not.”

Kari Lake said during an interview with Piers Morgan that Joe Biden is “the real criminal.”

“You may not like it, but you don’t know that he’s innocent, you just hope he is,” Morgan said of Trump.

Lake said, “Piers, this whole government is illegitimate right now under Joe Biden.

“It has completely gone bonkers and they are weaponizing our Department of Justice, it should be called the Department of Injustice right now, against Trump.”

“The real criminal is sitting in the White House right now,” Lake added.

“He doesn’t even know where he is.

“His name is Joe Biden.”

According to Axios:

Fox News has sent a cease-and-desist letter to Tucker Carlson as he ramps up a competing series on Twitter that drew a combined 169 million views for its first two episodes, Axios has learned.

Why it matters: The contract battle between Fox and its former top host — who was taken off the air in April, after the network’s historic Dominion settlement — has mighty repercussions for the conservative media ecosystem.

With “Tucker on Twitter,” Carlson and his growing production team are working to elevate Elon Musk’s social media site as a news platform.

Details: The cease-and-desist letter has “NOT FOR PUBLICATION” in bold at the top.

What’s happening: Fox is continuing to pay Carlson and maintains that his contract keeps his content exclusive to Fox through Dec. 31, 2024.
