First lady Jill Biden expresses dissatisfaction with the efforts of Democrats and other critics to persuade President Joe Biden to withdraw from the reelection race. According to ABC News host Martha Raddatz, sources within the White House have revealed that Biden’s close advisors are urging him to press on with his campaign, confident in his ability to secure a victory.
“This of course includes his wife Jill who they said is lashing out at those who want him to get out of the race,” she added.
As worries about internal conflicts and media disclosures continue to rise, the Biden family is said to be working on strengthening their control over both his campaign and the administration. They are concentrating on minimizing the impact of individuals within the team who are sharing information with the media and possibly damaging the president’s reputation as the party’s national convention draws near.
“The debate fiasco has opened up a lane for the family to surpass staff and start helping out their father and brother who they love dearly,” a source close to the family told NBC News.

The Biden family is currently evaluating which advisors to let go as they work towards restructuring their team and shifting responsibility for Biden’s recent difficulties.
“I believe the family has witnessed blunder after blunder by key staff personnel, and the debate is likely the straw that broke the camel’s back,” the source told NBC News. “Post-debate, the supposed loyal staff, instead of taking responsibility, pointed the finger back at the president and said: ‘His fault.’ I can think of no other singular action that would agitate the Biden family more.”
Larry Sabato, the Director of the University of Virginia Center for Politics, stated on a recent CNN segment that the competition between Biden and former President Donald Trump is no longer a tight one. He also rejected the notion that Biden could significantly narrow the gap by participating in an interview with ABC News or holding rallies.
“I don’t think [President Biden] can change the dynamic with one interview,” he said. “I suppose you’d say stop the bleeding and the bleeding has been bad. I mean, we’ve been looking at all the data coming in, all the surveys — some public, some private — and it’s bad. Democrats need to understand that things are not stable and it is no longer close. The race between Biden and Trump is no longer close.”
“Just take the four last week, including CNN’s poll — all of them were in agreement, which you rarely see even with well-conducted polls: Biden, who was really maybe even, maybe two points behind Trump, is now — at least in unison in these polls — six points behind,” Sabato added. “That’s millions and millions of voters. And what is it that’s going to restore them? A good interview, a good rally? Come on.”
