President Joe Biden has come under scrutiny for repeating a false statement during his visit to Israel. This particular falsehood revolves around the circumstances of his son’s death.

To clarify, Beau Biden tragically passed away in 2015 from glioblastoma at the age of 46. He had been admitted to Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Maryland on May 20, 2015, due to a recurrence of brain cancer and succumbed to the disease ten days later, on May 30.

During his visit to Israel, President Biden engaged with families, first responders, and medical staff affected by the October 7 terrorist attacks. A doctor shared her background with Biden, mentioning that she had emigrated from New York to Israel eight years ago. She also highlighted the equal treatment of both Palestinian and Israeli patients by medical professionals in Israel.

In response, President Biden recounted a tragic story about the loss of his first wife, Neilia, and daughter, Naomi, in a car crash in 1972, with his two sons, Beau and Hunter, being seriously injured. However, he veered into falsehood when he claimed that his son Beau had been killed in Iraq. While it’s true that Beau served in Iraq as an Army veteran, he died years later from brain cancer in a U.S. medical facility.

It’s important to note that President Biden has repeatedly made the false assertion that Beau was killed in Iraq, despite the widely known circumstances of his son’s death.
