(The Post Millennial) – Black Lives Matter was out in full force across the country today, voicing their response to Derek Chauvin’s guilty verdict.

In Minneapolis, the city where George Floyd was killed by police less than one year ago, a member of Black Lives Matter proclaimed, “They gonna let us burn this whole motherf**ker to the ground before they give us some systemic change”. He also urged white liberals to “keep caring”.

The need for systemic change was a common message among the protestors. “We need to be going way beyond voting at this point”, one woman said. “We need to be coming out here every single day if that’s what it takes. If we don’t change laws, and we don’t attack this system from every single f**king angle we can, we will be here again”.

Another video shows a woman announcing that “Derek Chauvin’s police department burned to the ground”, a statement which is met with cheers from the crowd.

“Black Lives Matter isn’t a trend; it’s a movement”, said another protestor, “We’re not gonna stop just because we got one conviction”. She went on to say that “We are never going to be satisfied”, claiming that what has happened, and continues to happen to Black Americans is akin to “genocide”.

Black Lives Matter protestors in New York were more confrontational, telling White people enjoying dinner outside to “stay the f**k out of New York!” They continued, “We don’t want your money; we don’t want you here, we don’t want your f**kin’ taquerias owned by f**kin’ White men”. The crowd can be heard cheering along.
