Former President Donald Trump addressed allegations regarding his supposed exhaustion and the cancellation of events by highlighting that Vice President Kamala Harris did not attend the Al Smith dinner on Thursday evening.
In response to a reporter’s inquiry about his fatigue and whether it was the reason for his event cancellations, Trump challenged the notion by asking, “what event” he had actually canceled. He emphasized that Harris “doesn’t attend any events” and specifically noted her absence from the Al Smith dinner, marking her as the first major political party presidential candidate to miss this event since former Presidents John F. Kennedy and Richard Nixon in 1960.
“Kamala Harris says says you’re ‘exhausted’ and that’s why you’re canceling events,” the reporter said. “Are you exhausted?”
“What event did I cancel? I haven’t canceled,” Trump responded. “She doesn’t go to any events. She’s a loser. She doesn’t go to any events. She didn’t even show up for the Catholics last night at the hotel. It was insulting. All they are is sound bites.”
