An individual from Ohio has been charged following the discovery of firearms in his vehicle and hotel room at Trump Tower in Chicago, as reported on Friday. Brandon Peck, a 21-year-old resident of Oakwood, Ohio, was taken into custody on Tuesday evening after a staff member at Trump Tower observed guns displayed in Peck’s room. This alarming finding prompted a swift response from the Chicago police and SWAT teams. Peck was later located and arrested at the hotel gym, according to Fox 32.

Peck informed law enforcement that he had traveled from Ohio to accompany his mother and stepfather to a medical appointment, although he was not aware of the specifics regarding the time and location of the appointment, as stated by officials. He admitted to having two firearms in his hotel room and another in his vehicle, which was parked in the garage of Trump Tower.

A search of Peck’s hotel accommodation revealed a Bear Creek Arsenal 10mm rifle, a semi-automatic Ruger, and a duffel bag containing multiple magazines, a firearm frame, and ammunition. In his vehicle, investigators discovered a semi-automatic SIG Sauer, additional magazines loaded with live rounds, a black rifle bag, and a black scope.

Court documents indicate that Peck informed officers he had recently acquired the firearms, as reported. Brandon Peck has been charged with two felony counts of aggravated unlawful use of a weapon for possessing loaded firearms without a concealed carry license or Firearm Owner’s Identification (FOID) card. He is also facing a citation for the possession of high-capacity magazines and armor-piercing ammunition.

While no injuries were reported during the incident, authorities temporarily secured the area around Trump Tower to facilitate the investigation, as noted by Fox 32. Reports indicate that Trump was not present in the vicinity at the time.
